Role of a Scrum Master in a Project
The Role of Scrum Master in a project is of a facilitator and Servant Leader who encourages and demands self-organization from the development team. She/he cleans out problems, takes responsibility that the rules of Scrum are kept and he as well coaches the team. She/he is in charge of observing that the team obeys the rules and realizes the method of Scrum entirely. A Scrum Master gives only motivation and advises the team to lead the correct way, to use the right method or to choose the right technology to get the quality output.
She/he is there to help the team in case of any impediments (roadblocks) so that the sprint could be completed immediately. She/he tries to influence to make the team self-managed with his/her limited interference. She/he is the one who facilitates Daily Scrum Meetings, Sprint Planning Meetings, Sprint Review Meetings, and Sprint Retrospective Meetings. She/he is who mediate the general conflict of goals between the development team and product owner who requests for more features. The Scrum Master should be responsible, humble (Servant-Leader role), collaborative, committed, influential and Knowledgeable.
