A Business Analyst’s role can’t be automated, hence the job is secured and lets see the career scope of BA. Human touch is base for this job and soft skill will definitely improve and this will help to move ladder quickly. There is no threat to this position due to technology advancement like how testing/development facing problems. The interactions will be more with human rather than systems means it is people oriented, hence this kind of jobs can’t be replaced by any robot software and the work will be satisfactory. Once a Business Analyst gain’s knowledge he/she can become a Project manager, Functional consultant, product owner/analyst, Pre-sales consultant, or can even become IT PMO in the organization since the exposure is more across SDLC.
The business analyst works as a mediator, moderator, connector and ambassador to bring the business need together with IT resources. Experienced business analysts tend to be clear communicators, smooth facilitators, precise analyzers and team players, and the addon is the versatility of various business functions, such as operations, finance, engineering, technology or architecture. If we love what we are good at and aim to become an expert in the same without changing gears then we can master the domain including getting into other areas in the same domain. This can include having a good hold on the tools and products prevalent in the domain and makes you a great specialist and unique in the field, which is invaluable for your career.
